Student success statement
A choice: Poverty or Prosperity
“ I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and i can change that. It depends upon how hard i want to work, and i decided that i can change it.” Dr. Ben Carson
I think what this statement means to me is that the only person who you can depend on is yourself and nobody else. You make your own actions. People can tell you to do stuff but you're really the only one is going to make those actions. The only time someone is forcing you to do something if they have a bullet to your head or literally caring you like a puppet. The way you turn out to be is based on your actions on the past. The way things are is make good actions, responsibilities and things will open to you. If you're making dumb responsibilities, don't be surprised when something bad happens to you. The way you want life to be is the way you act. You have to be educated and full of knowledge knowing what you are capable of. Don't act dumb and be surprised when you see the results.
