Columbus Day

  Columbus day  is a national holiday in many countries of the Americas and elsewhere; it officially celebrates the anniversary of Christopher columbus' arrival in america on October 12, 1492. It took columbus 6 whole years to convince the spanish king and the queen to bankroll his adventures. He left with 87 men on three large boats. 29 days later he found an island and called it san salvador. He came back with treasures and kidnapped natives. He died on may 20, 1505 in the age of 55 is spain. He had poor health and was almost blind.
