Memorial Day

Memorial day is on Monday, May 29. a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May. People can salute the flag if they see one or just take time to remember all those whom fought for our country.Memorial Day is a day honoring men and women who died while serving the U.S. military. Memorial Day is a holiday that is held on the last Monday of May. Memorial Day is originally called Decoration Day. This is because of the early tradition when they used to decorate graves with flowers, and flags in remembrance of the people who have fallen. Many people show honor and respect by visiting cemeteries or memorials, or even attending parades around the community. Some things I may do to show honor and respect on Memorial Day is attend parades happening around my community.
